Wind Energy
Wind energy is the conversion of wind into electricity using wind turbines, which allows for clean, renewable, bountiful and sustainable power, by one of the world’s most naturally occurring resources.
The use of wind power is not a new concept. Sailboats and windmills, some of the oldest wind technologies, illustrate man’s early renewable energy creations. Today, wind technology is a leader in alternative energy throughout the world.
Modifications to the visual landscape in addition to the potential to harm or injure birds are given as viable reasons to limit the amount of wind turbines permitted in a given area. However; there is a multitude of benefits that are far more significant, including the fact that there is zero contribution to the emission of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
A large portion of world energy production comes from wind technology. After wind turbines have been implemented, the cost of energy production is among the least costly forms of energy production. In addition, many isolated and smaller communities are provided with the opportunity to generate and store energy for consumption.
Wind energy is one of the cheapest ways to generate electricity, and contributes to a strong force of alternative energy sources that will assist with our planets sustainability.
