REpower Ontario

Windfall Centre presents a training program that orients, educates and connects eager participants with employment and self-employment opportunities and provides insight into what is possible and what is driving rapid growth in the new green economy.  The program utilizes in-class education, distance learning, and a referral program to help match employment needs at the local level and provide participants access to fresh opportunities and further career development.

REpower provides a solid overview of the "green" economy, networking opportunities, and a thorough look into the many renewable and sustainable energy technologies that are changing the way business is done.  It examines emerging job opportunities in each of those areas, and takes a refreshing approach to evolving a participant’s existing strengths and aptitudes into new opportunities within the green sector.

REpower integrates and covers the basics of renewable energy, energy efficiency and water conservation into a program that prepares the participants for job readiness and career development in the green economy, and facilitates the placement of the successful participants in a range of possible alternatives: advanced training, co-op placements, apprenticeships,self-employment or employment.
