Course Objectives:
This highly interactive course takes participants through all stages of an integrated Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) audit using a realistic case study, which emphasizes challenges in conducting an integrated audit and producing business value. The course includes an overview of applicable regulations in either the United States or Canada, depending on the course location. Through workshops, discussions, and role plays, the participants will prepare for, conduct, and report on an integrated audit against the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. The integrated audit will be conducted to meet the requirements of the auditing standard ISO 19011. From this experience, course participants will learn how to accurately interpret and audit the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements. Course participants also will learn how to develop an effective integrated audit program, establish or improve an integrated audit system using the existing (independent) internal audit systems, and plan and conduct balanced integrated audits. SAI Global’s course instructors are experienced QEHS management system auditors, many of whom have conducted integrated registration audits for registrars.
