Course Objectives:
This course will help you understand how to create an integrated environment, health and safety management system and reduce the cost of maintaining two independent programs. It uses a process focus to create a common foundation to link all elements of both standards. Using this foundation, a facility could also integrate their ISO 9000 program to create a quality, environment, health and safety (QEHS) program. Participants will prepare the integrated requirements in the class. A case study is used to show how to develop the process focus using hierarchical process maps and how to develop employee-driven action plans to meet your commitments to continual improvement and prevention in the integrated management system. You will learn both how to build on existing systems and to develop new management systems to create an effective and integrated management system. A number of companies have already successfully registered their integrated programs.
