A Collaborative Approach to Sustainable Sites
Traditionally, designers, scientists, contractors and public agencies have worked in vertically divided silos of expertise. Sustainable community planning requires a new intense collaboration of best practices to solve today's environmental challenges. Highlighting sustainable site issues, this course bridges professionals from varied backgrounds who seek to identify and apply the new lexicon of sustainable communities in compliance with AB1881, AB32 and SB375. Topics include water conservation strategies, heat island effect and connectivity, light pollution reduction and edge development, and USGBC LEED sustainable site credits
